Anybody notice data being stored from previously opened, (and closed)
email attachments in a semi-hidden directory called "C:\Documents and
Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK2DB"?
I found lots of (some very old) attachments I had viewed being stored
in there, but unsearchable from Windows Explorer. I was able to view,
copy and delete some of them from the command line.

I can't delete some of them, and it bothers me that they're even
there.

Windows 2K Pro, SP4, all hotfixes, Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.4527)

Your help appreciated. Google rocks.

See microsoft.public.outlook for a thread entitled "OLK# folder in Temporary
Internet Files" for the same question.
