Outlook archived folder won't close

I archive most of my emails in a variety of folders and then open and close the archived folders in my Inbox as needed. But I have two folders that I haven't been able to close. If I try, I get the message "The operation failed. An object could not be found." Does anyone know how to get the folders to close

I wondered if it could have anything to do with archiving while the folders were opened. Just a thought, which doesn't tell me how to close the folders

Help!

The easiest way to get rid of "ghost" sets of personal folders is to create
a new mail profile. What version of Outlook are you using, and if it's
Outlook 98 or 2000, are you in Internet Mail Only mode or
Corporate/Workgroup mode?

I'm using Outlook 2000 and it's probably Corporate/Workgroup mode since I use it at the university, and it's connected to the university server across town

To make sure, go to Help | About Microsoft Outlook, and look at the second
line. If you are indeed in C/W mode, go to Windows Control Panel, double
click the Mail icon, and you can create a new profile there. Make sure you
create it from scratch -- don't just copy from the existing profile. Also,
if you are connecting to an Exchange server and you use offline folders
(.OST files), make sure you export any data in them to a .PST file instead
before you delete the profile, as the .OST will be "orphaned" without the
profile it was created under. (If you're not using Exchange, then you can
ignore all that useless information ;-) )
