Donna

I am running Office 2002 on Windows 2000 Professional. I
have been using Outlook and Word for years. This year
nothing but problems. Now Outlook is giving me another
message.
When I go to send my e-mail a box pops up.
It says
Microsoft Word

(waring icon) Interface not registered

(ok button)

If I uncheck Word as editor I can send messages.
How do I register the interface? What interface?
Why?

Hi Donna,

This problem could happen for a number of reasons, primarily being that one
of your office dlls registration information has been corrupted. There are
a couple of steps you can try to resolve this.

1) Open a command window: Start -> Run -> cmd.exe
2) In the command window, run: regsvr32 regsvr32 %windir%\SYSTEM32\OLE32.DLL
See if the problem is resolved. If not...
3) In the command window, run: regsvr32 %windir%\system32\MSRDO20.DLL
See if the problem is resolved. If not...
4) Try applying the latest Service release of Outlook or Office. Go to
http://office.microsoft.com/home/default.aspx and click on "Check for
Updates" on the top right part of the page.
If the problem is still not resolved...
5) Your Windows system files may have been corrupted and you may need to
repair windows. You can do this by the original Windows 2000 install CD.
However, you might lose data and other program settings, so you should back
them up.

In some of these steps, you might be asked for the original Office
installation disk; please keep them handy. Lastly, you can try contacting
Microsoft Product Support if you purchased Office 2002 through retail (that
is, it didn't come with the computer).

Thanks
