All of your default folders are contained one PST. If you connected that PST
to your mail profile correctly, if you can see mail and contacts, then you
must also be able to see the calendar. Ergo, you did something wrong. Unless
you tell us in detail exactly what you did when backing up, we can't tell you
how to fix it. If you used import and export, then you certainly did it
wrong.

I attempted to install Outlook 2007 on a new computer running Windows 7. The
program attempts to find the exchange server. When it doesn't find it the
programs askes for an old pst file. When it doesn't it turns off. Program
tells to me that Outlook must be connected to change settings. I used
Outlook express on the old computer. I just want the program Outlook 2007 to
work without exchange. I also didn't plan to use the Outlook Express files.

My outlook will not start.

Which files did you transfer from where to where?

In order to configure Outlook with your pst-file from your old computer,
configure Outlook first and then reconnect your original pst-file via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

Open the Mail applet in Control Panel and remove the Exchange account.
