Husband and I are set up under separate User Accounts. I
want to use Outlook Express; He uses Outlook. Can this
be done in Windows XP? Everytime I am logged in and set
my default mail handler to OE, it changes his default
mail handler to OE, and vice versa.

Any suggestions, or do we both just need to use Outlook?

It can be done but not via the "default program" settings as they are
machine-specific and not user-specific.

Any idea how? Allison and I have both asked this question
here a couple of times with no help.

Thanks!

Simple: start your mail client manually and not from any link in the
IE. If you have one of these enhanced keyboards with a special key for
the mail program you may be able to configure this separately for each
user.

No that doesn't fix the problem. What we want to do is that
if I do happen to click on an email link logged in as me I
don't want my wife's email preogram from opening, I want
mine to open and send the mail. This would not be a problem
if my wife like Outlook Express or something, but she uses
Incredimail and I am using the new Thunderbird mail client
(the old mozilla mail client). Even if I do have my client
running and then click a link, her's still opens. I would
have to copy an email link (which isn't always as easy as
it sounds) into a new message from my client.

Thanks for your assistance anyway.

This is not possible in Windows XP, sorry.
