To get my newsreader operating I need to go to Control Panel/Internet
Options/Programs/Newsgroups then insert the Outlook Express option and only
then eventually get to the newsgroups.
I need to do this every time because for some reason the selected Outlook
Express option disappears with re-booting.
Is there any experts out there to give some advice on this?
How do I make the option remain?

In Outlook, Click the View menu, point to Go To, and then click News. That
will open the default newsreader. Then, once you're in OE, go to tools -
options - general and make sure OE is set as the default newsreader at the
bottom of the page.

In Outlook, go to View - Go To - News. That will take you to your default
newsgroup reader which should be OE. If it isn't, then set it up as you
have before and do it again before rebooting.

Then in OE, go to Tools - Options - General and make sure OE is the default
newsreader at the bottom of the page. That should take care of it.

Known issue. Make sure that the first time you launch OE you answer "no" to
the prompt to make it the default news reader. That option can only be set
in Control panel, and setting it from within OE removes the Go > News
command.

No. Do not do part 2. OE must not be set as the default from within OE, only
Control Panel.
