Outlook and Hotmail

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't for the
life of me figure this one out:

I'm using Outlook to check my Hotmail account via HTTP.

Is there a way to get Outlook to download my messages
from my Hotmail account, and then remove them from the
server and keep the messages on my PC? Seems like if a
message is removed from an HTTP server, Outlook re-synchs
itself and removes the message from the PC as well.

Alternately, is there a way to get hotmail to forward
messages, so I can send them to my POP account to pick
them up there?

Thanks

Not natively but you can use Hotmail Popper for this so Hotmail behaves like
a POP3 account.

Forwarding messages is something you can't configure at Hotmail

When you right click on the email in your hotmail folder you will find an
option moveto folder. You can use this to move it to local folders if you
are looking at the same on you won machine. If you are looking at the emails
on some body else's machine or at work, you can use the forward option which
works very well on my Outlook to forward the same to your POP account.

You can also use the copy to folder from there to copy to your local account
& THEN delete it from there. If you use Outlook Express to connect to
Hotmail then you can also use Moveto folder option & move them to your local
folder.
