Outlook and Access 2k Problems

We currently have a Database setup that uses Outlook 2000
to send and assign email taks but when we enter a Due Date
that is later than the current date we get the following
message:

"since you are no longer the owner of this task, the task
reminder has been turned off"

Is there any way that we can get rid of this message?
 
That has nothing to due with the dates of the task. It is a built in
mechanism to prevent the creator of a task from getting reminders when they
have effectively given up ownership of the task by assigning it to someone
else. AFAIK there is no way to turn it off, programmatically or in the UI.
