I used PC Relocate to transfer data from an older PC tio my new one.
Everything seems ok except for Outlook. I get the following error message
when I open it. Unable to open your default email folders the .dll file for
the information service cannot be found. MAPI was unable to load the
information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed
and configured. I uninstalled and reinstalled office and the message stays.
I would just like to get back to te default settings and ran the help option
also to no avail. I would like to get the settings back and then set up my
email accounts again. I have not used Outlook on this PC much so not a lot
of data to lose.
Thanks Mark

Try making a new profile. moving profiles between machines can screw things
up - a new profile often helps.

Diane, Thanks for the help. I did something and I cannot open Outlook or
even uninstall it I keep getting the message "The patch package could not be
opened. Verify that the patch package exists and you cn access it. or
contact the application vender to verify that this is a valid windows
installer patch package. This is the same software that I used for the
uninstall yesterday.
Thanks in advance for the help

When this happened to me, it was because the disk copy program did not
properly copy over from the old disk to the new the (hidden) folder
C:\Windows\Installer, which is where the MSI files for patches are kept.

Brian,
Thanks for the suggestion. When I look at the new computer in the windows
subdirectory there is no install. On the old one it exists but has several
MSI files? Should I just copy the old install folder to the new computer?
Thanks

That's what I did and it worked for me.
