Am running Windows XP, Outlook 2000 and IE 6.0.
Something has become corrupted that will not consistently let me us
the Outlook address box when compising a new message. After typing in
new address, I tab down to subject box or message. The addres
instantly disappears. But not all the time.
And it works OK when I insert an address from my Address Book.
Also cannot use import or export in Address Book. When I go to File i
Address Book, the import and export tabs are faint, as they are no
accessible.
Have twice tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2000. Does no
solve the problems. Can you please help?
Thanks.

The Address Book does not contain any data and is not the interface for
entering or importing data. Your Contacts Folder is.
You need to post your mail support mode (line 2 of Help | About, if you
don't know).

Ouch. Not much we can do then. IMO does not use the Outlook Address Book and
provides no utility for repairing a corrupt address book.
What caused this problem?
