Hello -
I read a posting that described how to use my contact
database for the address book in outlook. (Folder --
Properties--"Outlook Addressbook" tab). I can get there
but the option is grayed out. Do I need to install
something? Any clues would be helpful.

Environment: Win/2000 Pro, Outlook 2000 sp3.

You did not specify your mail support mode.
Assuming it is Corp/Workgroup, you need to add the Outlook Address Book to
your Profile.
Go to Tools > Services. Make sure the Outlook Address Book service is
listed. If not, add it. Next, R click on the Contact folder or folders you
want the OAB to display, choose "Properties", go to the Outlook Address Book
tab and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box. You may
also need to go to Tools > Options > Addressing Tab and choose to show your
Contacts folder.

i read your reply and hate to sound dumb but i need more details on the Tools>services step. where am i looking for this
