Outlook Address Book Useless?

I imported my Outlook Express address book into Outlook and although I have a useable Contacts list, I can't work out what use the Address Book facility is particularly as it lists only First Name and then Surname. The Contacts list reflects the OE Address Book format I'd established of Surname first and then First Name.
Is the Outlook Address Book changeable?
Is it of any use?
Thanks

In other words you want the Outlook Address Book to display Surname,
Firstname.

You can do this in your account or services properties (depends on version)
under Tools. From there select your addressbook and choose change. Here you
can select how the names are showed.

Hope this helps!

I have Outlook 2002 SP-2.
I cannot get into Address \Book in Outlook to change the order addresses are listed - I regret your suggestion does not work for me.
Any further advice please?

It works for Outlook 2002. Now I know your version it easier directing you
to the setting.

Control Panel-> Mail-> button E-mail Accounts...-> option View or change
existing directories or address books-> select Outlook Address Book and
prees Change...-> set the options Show names by as disired.

I hope you can find it now.
