Outlook Address Book is empty

I thought the Outlook Address Book was supposed to mirror Contacts. For some reason, mine does not. I have imported a number of addresses from an older PIM and they show up just fine in Contacts, but when I open the Outlook Address Book to address an email, it is empty and Address Book will not allow you to create new entries for it.

I am having the same problem this fellow is having. I am
using Outlook 2002. I went to folders > contacts folder >
properties > Outlook Address Book Tab > but I am not
allowed to check "Show this folder as an e-mail Address
Book>" Any help I would appreciate.

Have you added the Outlook Address Book to your Profile?
