Several of us at work have recently been given new
computers with Win XP. We also have Outlook 2000. Our
contact folder cannot be added as an Outlook address
book. When you try to include it by doing this:

" right click on the Contact folder or folders you
want the OAB to display, choose "Properties", go to the
Outlook Address Book tab and check the "Show this folder
as an E-mail address book" box", the check box is dimmed
and it cannot be selected. Outlook is configured
as "corporate or workgroup". Any suggestions?

I have tried, and it lets me add the service, but even
after restarting Outlook it it won't pick up the contact
list in the "properties" section of the outlook address
book service and it is still dimmed in the "show this
folder as an email address book"

List the steps you used.
Where do your Contacts reside and how many Contact Folders are in your
profile?
