My Outlook 2007 address auto-complete has stopped working. The "Suggest
names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" box in the Advances Email
Options dilaogue box is checked. Any idea why?

Only the same one posted here hundreds of times. Autocompletion is not a
robust or reliable feature. Outlook will lose its connection to its cache in
a number of ways, most often because it is not exiting completely and not
writing to the file. Make sure you run no add-ins or sync software that
might hold Outlook open. To restore the function, create a new Outlook
profile. If you're lucky you'll be able to migrate your old cache to the new
profile following directions here:

Thank you very much for the quick response. I checked my Microsofty/Outlook
folder: there is no NK2 file in that folder, but there is oneOffice Data File
with NICK extension (I have done all the necessary check and uncheck boxes -
so all files are visible). Any idea why I have this file and not NK2? And
what can I do about it?

The NICK file was used for versions of Outlook prior to Outlook 2003 and it is
for retaining autoresolution data. Did you have an earlier version of Outlook
on this PC?

At some stage I had an earlier version, but never used it and reverted to
outlook express.

Look here:
%AppData%Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

Actually, %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook is
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook; i.e., the environment
variable %AppData% contains "Roaming" in its definition already.
