Outlook adding Reviewing Toolbar to Excel files - how to stop?

2003 on XP
Everytime I receive an Excel file via Outlook, when I open the workbook the
Reviewing toolbar appears unbidden.
How can I stop this very annoying behaviour?
I have asked in the Excel newsgroup with only a macro as a solution, not the
best. There must be a setting in Outlook that can be turned off.

Hope this helps

Outlook has nothing to do with how other applications are opening the
attachments that you have received. This remains an Excel issue and not an
Outlook issue.

Hi Roady.
In the Excel forum, they said that Outlook does something to the attachment
properties that includes activating the Reviewing toolbar.
I vaguely remember a check box in Outlook Tools that did something to do
with "reviewing the attachments" but cannot find it.
I did mean to say that, I tend to save attachments to the harddrive before
opening them, still the problem of the toolbar appearing occurs more often
than not.

Hope this rings a bell.
Thanks

Roady, what about the "Add properties to attachments to enable Reply with
Changes" check box in Advanced Email Options? I unchecked this and all my
attachments (Excel included) now do not have the annoying Reviewing toolbar
appears automatically!
