hi,

I'm looking for a program that will allow our VP to track what times
people are covering our reception desk. Right now, we're using the
pen-and-paper method, and it's cumbersome and is susceptible to
errors. We're looking for an electronic method that will allow the VP
to not only have a "real-time" record of who's at the desk, but a
historical document (to let him view who was at the desk at a certain
date/time), as well as allow planning for future coverage needs.

He's asked me to create a public calendar for people to go to and
manually enter the time they're at the desk as appointments, but this
strikes me as a very "clunky" way to track this.

I'm thinking more of a little program that could be put in the start
menu for All Users (that way anybody who logs in to the machine will
be tracked) that will capture the username and date&time for whomever
logs in to the receptionist's computer. Then it would write this data
to a log file somewhere on the network that the VP could have access
to view it, and will also capture username/date/time at logout.

Thanks!
