Outlook 98 vs Outlook Express 6.0

I have been using Outlook 98 for Email. I send and receive messages with
attachments of up to probably 3mb in size. My Inbox has about 20
sub-folders in which I keep messages. I have NOT been successful in backing
up any of those folders or the entire *.pst file for that matter. It
APPEARS that Outlook Express 6.0 will allow various folders to be backed up
at will by dragging those that I care to keep to the CDRW.

What features would I loose if I were to discontinue using Outlook 98 and
process all of my Email on Outlook Express 6.0??? To me it appears that I
would not loose anything. What am I missing?

It might be easier if we help you figure out why you can't back up your .PST
file. What happens when you try?

My attempt was to back them up on a CD since I wanted a permanent copy. I
have 746mb of *.pst file and the CD will only hold 700mb. In looking at
Outlook Express it appears that I can select only those Email files that I
want to save rather than having to backup the 'whole enchelada' as it
appears you must do in Outlook 98. Maybe my problem would be solved if I
moved to a newer version of Outlook like 2003. What do you think?

Split the pst into two by archiving.

I figured out how to backup my Email. Export each folder individually, then
you can record on CD the folders that you wish to backup!
