Outlook 98 - Disc usage table for these entries has been destroyed

Greetings
Cannot get into Outlook today. Still have my PST file, but
Outlook cannot see it. Ran Norton Ulilities and got
message "Disc usage table for these entries has been
destroyed". Norton cannot repair it.
What does this mean and how how I fix it?

Thanks for trying to help Milly.
Have fixed problem
PST file was corrupted.
Had to run first run Scan Disc to repair disc problems,
then ran Inbox Repair tool.
