I need a tip / Utility for a way (registry hack) to set
Outlook 97 to automatically empty deleted mail by leaving
Outlook 97.

I know the EmptyTrash key for Outlook 9.0/10.0, but how it
works in Outlook 97??

Just realized I have Outlook 98, not 97,
so I can't say for sure if that option is available
in '97

Thomas/Dan FYI,

Yes, that option is available in Outlook 97, but in a
different place.

Under Tools->Options->General Tab.

Look for the option "Empty the Deleted Items folder upon
exiting."

However, depending upon another option, Outlook will flag
you before deleting these and will not close.

To get around this you need to make sure the option "Warn
before permanently deleting items" on the same General tab
is unchecked.
