Try to exit a document or delete a file in just about
every other Windows program and you'll get a warning
message to confirm that's really what you want to do.
Inadvertently click the "X" in Outlook and the whole
program shuts down. How handy. Since there doesn't
appear to be any kind of option that I can find that would
have it ask before exiting, is there a registry setting
that could be added to Outlook's section to do that?

Thanks.

No.

And just to clear things up; Other programs also close immidiately unless
there is something to save. When you've got an e-mail open, edited it but
not saved it and Outlook will prompt you to save it upon program exit as
well. When you open a Word document in Word and don't edit itWord will close
immidiately upon program exit.
