Outlook 2010 Sent Items PST File

We use Exchange 2003 and I've just installed Outlook 2010.

I've always had my computer set up to download all items from the server and
save in a local PST file, all incoming mail is saved to the local Inbox and
all Sent Items are stored in the local Sent Items box.

Since installing 2010 incoming mail is working as above, getting moved from
the server to the local PST file.

Sent Items however are not.

They are been stored in the server's Sent Items and if I want to move then
from the server to the local PST file I have to do this manually.

Any ideas on how to sort it?

I've tried with Cached Mode on and off.
 
Have you set your pst-file as the default message store?
File-> Info-> Account Settings-> Account Settings...-> tab Data Files

Are you truly using beta software in a production environment? Don't expect
everything to work correctly and then wonder why when it doesn't.
