I'm having this problem with Outlook crashing whenever I click an
email from certain friends who use Mac Mail. If I disable the preview
pane, it doesn't crash until i open the email.

This only happens on my XP machine (my main machine), not on my
Windows 7 netbook.

I searched online and see i'm not the only one having this issue. It
seems pretty fundamental, but I have yet to see a solution.

Does anyone know of a way around this problem? I hate the thought of
abandoning Outlook, but these crashes are sucking up way too much time
and effort

Actually, mail is not mail.

Different email clients format their headers differently, and this is
almost certainly what Outlook 2010 is choking on, not the (text)
content of the eamil

Google "Outlook 2010 mac mail" and you'll see that lots of us are
having this problem with Outlook 2010.

Here's a search "outlook 2010 crashes mac mail"

Here's one result:

There are a bunch more that started back in beta testing, with threads
that are still getting updated, including this one:

By the way, i have outlook 2010 installed on 3 machines, and this only
happens on the XP machine, not on Vista or Windows 7. Just so happens
that my main machine is the xp machine because a couple of my
development tools only work on XP.
