Outlook Outlook 2007

Hi All,
I'm just new to the forum and my issue is that I have Windows 7 and have installed Office 2007. Now i find Outlook wont load as I keep getting a window saying "Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable" Can anyone assist please?

Hi Johnnyboy60 and welcome to PCR.


First thing I'd try would be to uninstall Office 2007 and see if you get Outlook back working as it was before. If it returns to normal load Office 2007 again and see what happens.
Another thing is to look on the Microsoft forums as I believe this is a well known problem.

Thanks for the reply, however I might have led you astray, as It is a Home computer and not associated with a network as such. Does this make any difference?

I don't think it would make any difference.

I was hoping someone who knows more about this sort of problem might have posted.

Did you uninstall Office 2007 to see what happened?

For some reason your Outlook thinks you are using Microsoft Exchange Server. Create a new account and select Internet Mail. Once set up, delete the Exchange Servcer mail account.
