After transfering my file/folders from my old computer that used Windows XP
to my new computer that uses Window Vista I cannot open Microsoft Office
Outlook 2007. It work before I did the transfer of files/folders, I try to
uninstall Office Standard 2007 & reinstall the program but Outlook still
doesn't open. I get this error.
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window.
The set of folders connot be open. Errors have been detected in the file
C:\User\John R\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook(2).pst. Quit Outlook
and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool
(Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information
about the Inbox repair tool, see Help."
Since Outlook doesn't open how can I find the Inbox Help??

Please help me.

Vince,
No, can't find it to run.
When I try to search for Scanpst.exe or ScanPST.EXE It says no file found.
I don't know where to look for it now.

It says SCANPST.EXE is a read-only file, I can scan it, but I don't have
permission to repair it. So I scan it. Then it said "Microsoft Office Outlook
Inbox Repair Tool does not recognize the file, no information recovered"

You mean that your PST file is read only? If so, simply remove that
attribute from the file (right click on the file, choose Properties, uncheck
read-only and click OK). The read-only state of the EXE is irrelevant which
is why I'm asking the first question.
