I am finding Outlook 2007 to be very UNSTABLE. Are others? I frequently
(couple times a day) click something, get the hour glass, CPU goes to 100%,
and thats it. Stays that way for a long time, and i have to use task
manager to "end process".

Last time i did that, when i relaunched Outlook, the last batch of mail
messages that had downloaded from my ISP were gone. Is there any way to
recover those messages. They had been in Outlook at least for a few
minutes, but i hadn't read them all.

Thanks, tom.

You probably didn’t create a new Profile after installation. I believe that
the Microsoft developers dropped the ball here. The new installation should
have been seamless. You can get detailed instructions on how to create a new
Profile here. http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

Then search for your *.pst file. File | Open | Outlook Data File

In addition to what Chuck says, reports in this group and others indicate
that OL 2007 is sensitive to add-ins that may have worked well in prior
versions but don't quite get along well with the current one. The
MediaDirect add-ins from Dell are examples.
