Outlook 2007: Text file cannot be previewed

Today, if I receive as attachment a file with an "unknown" extension,
Outlooks says: "This file cannot be previewed becuase there is no previewer
installed for it" and suggests to "browse for previewers online".
How do I tell Outlook to consider certain extensions as text files ?
