Outlook 2007 SPAM issues

Hi there,

I have been usinf Outlook 2007 for several months now and for a while it has
worked extremly well when dealing with spam. It is the past few weeks that
I have noticed a trickle of spam e-mails that are passing the Office spam
detector. The operating system (Vista) and Office 2007 is regularly updates
to as recent as this morning.

Is anyone experiencing the same or is it that there is a new attack on spam
e-mails?

I've been noticing a flow of spam from Quadrant (I think), it might be
taking time to craft a filter for the spam that doesn't remove too many good
things

Spammers are constantly working to bypass spam filters. There's simply no
way for any one filter to eradicate all junk mail.
 
do you have the Nov update? That seems to be working good for me and getting
the ones the previous filter update missed.

Hello Dianne,

I'd say so. KB943559 & KB905866. They were downloaded on the 14th November
and they are still coming in.

I take much precaution to ensure that my e-mail addresses are secured as
possible (to a point that years ago I told-off friends that were constantly
sending me those "e-mails" before the junk e-mails took hold.

I am still receiving those trickle however they are annoying as that I hate
to disconnect from the network in order to delete them without them sendign
my info out.

It looks like that there is nothing that I can do however I was wondering is
there was a fresh wave of spam attacks around that needs some combating.
