Outlook 2007 Signature

Have just upgraded to Outlook 2007. I created several signatures but have
left the default signature set to "none" so that I can insert the one that
is appropriate for the individual message I am composing.

So I opened a new message, filled in the recipient and the subject, typed
the message, and then clicked on Insert \ Signature. I double clicked the
one I wanted to use on this message and nothing happened. I have tried to
insert each of the three different signatures, and none of them will insert
even though all three of them show up as choices.

What am I missing??

Try using a sig for your account instead of none and then, open a new
email or reply to one and right click anywhere in the sig and a drop
down menu should appear so you can choose the sig you want. It works
with 03, not sure about 07, though.

Okay, I set a default signature for "new message" and for "forwards and
replies" but still cannot get anything to show up.
 
I think I fixed it. I edited my signatures so that the color was "black"
instead of "automatic." That seems to have done the trick.

Just out of curiosity, what does "automatic" mean as the color selection???
 
As an FYI, if you don't want a sig by default, make one called blank and set
it as the default sig for the accounts. To make it easy to see, use 2 dashes
as the first line of the sig - this is the suggested signature delimiter per
RFCs.
