Outlook 2007 - problems adding contacts

I have bought a new laptop with Outlook 2007 installed. Whenever I try to add
a new contact (either through the menu system, or by right-clicking on e-mail
addresses in mail received), Outlook hangs, and I need to use Task Manager to
close it and then re-start.

Any idea what is causing this, and how to solve it?

Start with a new mail profile.

Thanks - for what ever reason, creating another user seems to have solved
the problem.

Brian - The problem returned. However, source is now tracked to a conflict
with the anti-virus package (Panda).

Once of the reasons why we always say to never integrate AV programs with
Outlook.
