I recently installed/upgraded to Office 2007 from 2003. Word and Excel are
working fine but even though Outlook comes up, I can't compose a new message,
nor can I access Account Settings under tools to POP email. The error I get
when trying to compose an email is: "Could not complete the operation. One
or more parameter values are not valid." The error when trying to access
Account Settings is: "The operation failed because of a registration or
installation problem. Restart Outlook and try again. If the problem
persists, reinstall." I have done all of that, including uninstalling and
reinstalling. I would appreciate any help I can find. Thank you!

jillyb,

Did you ever figure this problem out? I can't send/receive, edit accounts,
open data management. I've repaired, scanned reinstalled, and called in a
Wiccan to cast a spell.

For the record the problem was a corrupt profile. I opened a new profile
without setting up an email account. Made it the default profile. Switched
over the old *.pst file and made it the new default and I was all set.
