Outlook 2007 not showing calendar pop-ups

For some reason when I had to do a fresh install of outlook 2007 on my laptop
outlook 2007 will not show pop up reminders of any of my appointments or
reminders. I can't for the life of me find any reason why this is
happening...help before I miss something really important!!!!!!

Did you open outlook with the /cleanreminder switch?
