Today when I tried to delete a calendar reminder that popped up, I got a
message that it could not be deleted. So, I just closed the reminder. Then,
when I went to go into my calendar to delete the event, thinking that would
solve the "reminder" problem, I got a blank screen with a message that said
"Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the
specified folder location. The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook. Outlook cannot open this
item. The item may be damaged." I closed Outlook, rebooted the computer
(several times), but still have the same two issues...the reminder pops up,
can't be deleted, and then the "cannot display the folder...." message comes
on the screen when I click on the calendar. I have access to the calendar
from another computer and don't have any problems there. Any suggestions as
to what I can do. Put in the CD and go through the "repair" process ? Delete
some file (I have no idea which one) from the computer generating the error
and then "restore" from a backup file?
This same computer has also had an issue with the "search" function not
working in the mail part of the program. I don't know if those two thins are
related.
