Outlook 2007 - Freezes / Locks-Up After Splash Screen

I am running Outlook 2007 on Vista and it freezes / locks-up after the
Outlook 2007 splash screen is displayed. I just get the lovely vista wheel
spinning. Outlook isn't taking any CPU. I deleted the .ost but that didn't
help. I delete the profile, but that didn't help.

suggestions?

Now is looks like 'search' is also broken. It bring up the dialog
box, but then freezes also.
