How do I get the contacts from Outlook 2007 to show up in the
"Contacts Gagdet" in the Windows Vista Sidebar?
Thanks,

I suspect the Contacts gadget to which you refer is written to show WIndows
Mail contacts, not Outlook contacts. There are several gadgets in the
Gadget Gallery that are intended for Outlook. Seehttp://gallery.live.com/results.aspx?c=36&bt=1

The Contacts gadget is written to show Windows Contacts (not Windows
Mail Contacts). I have looked in the gadget gallery for an Outlook
Contacts solution, but they all focus on Tasks or Email, nothing for
Contacts. Any other ideas? Any reason why Microsoft Outlook 2007
Contacts can't be integrated with Microsoft Windows Contacts?

Thanks,
Ryan

Windows Contacts and Windows Mail Contacts are the same thing. The
difference is just semantics. Windows contacts are a separate application
from Office and intended for the vast number of home users who will never
need to purchase nor use the Office system.

Everything depends upon what you mean by "integrate." The way this can be
done by a user who has Office Outlook installed is: 1) They can choose to
only use the Office Outlook application for both work and personal email
contacts together. Or, 2) On the same machine, they can run their personal
email account and contacts through Windows Mail and run their work related
email and contacts through Outlook. Some would define either of these 2
options to be "integrated."
