Outlook 2007 can't import from Excel 2007?

Playing around with something else, I noted that the Import from Other File
or program option in Outlook 2007 only mentions Excel 97-2003. Huh?
 
I'm guessing that the converters just don't cover the new XML based formats
but you can still save in the older format in the 2007 apps so it's not so
bad.
