Roady,
Sorry, I thought the post would automatically follow the one I was referring
to. Here is my situation.
I installed the trial version of Office Professional 2007 which includes
Outlook 2007 on my Acer desktop. I was able to set up Outllook (transfer all
my info from Windows Mail). However, when I tired to reopen Outlook, I
received an error message saying that "This application has failed to start
because MSVCR80.dll was not found" or "RTFHTML.dll not found"
I used the diagnose and repair solution that comes with the software - that
did not work
I searched the MS database for that particular error message and did not get
anyting.
I called MS support and learned that they do not support trial versions. At
this point, I thought I would try posting on this community to see if someone
had a solution.
From my web research, I have learned this problem seems to be specific to
Acer computers. There is an add-in that disables Outlook. It appears the only
way to resolve this issue to edit the registry.

You are referring without using quotes. There is no way for us knowing what
you are talking about. Either post in the thread you've been reading or
provide the information on your own issue.

reinstall it and searched the support error messages database with no
luck.
