Outlook 2003

Using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP. Outlook opens to
Outlook Today. When changed to Inbox, Contacts, To Do,
etc., the first item in the list is not highlighted.

When the machine was first unboxed and turned on, when
Outlook was configured, the first email in the Inbox list
was highlighted, worked for about 2 weeks, nothing has
been installed or changed on the machine.

Does anybody know how to change it back to where the
first item in the list, in Inbox, Contacts, etc., is
hightlighted again.

Have tried to have Outlook open right to the Inbox, but
does the samething when it opens. Also, still does not
default to the first item when changed from Inbox to Task
to Contacts.

First item in list is not highlighted.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Known issue.
Do not open to the Outlook Today view and all will be well.

Russ,

Thanks, I will give that a try first thing tomorrow
morning.

Do you know where I could look to read up on that? I
have tried all kinds of searchs through google and
Microsoft support site, but have not found anything that
has told me anything.

I haven't seen it documented. I just know what is. Once you've opened
Outlook Today, switching folders leaves the focus on the folder rather than
the contents of the folder.
