I have a Global Address List that was built when we came up on a SBS and some
of those people have been let go. How do I update the GAL(remove layed off
people)?

Bud,

This question should be posted in another group. I'll answer it for your
convenience. The GAL is dynamically generated from your Active Directory. If
you remove user accounts from your Server Manager, they will eventually
disappear from your GAL. Additionally, you can also choose to keep the
accounts but to hide them from GAL. This would be in Exchange Advanced
properties in Server Management -> Home Page -> Standard Management ->
Users. Right-click the desired user you wish to remove from GAL, click
properties, click Exchange Advanced tab, check the box "Hide from Exchange
Address lists". Then click OK.

At the next rebuild of GAL, this user will be removed from the list.

For more information about SBS, see microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs
For more information about Exchange, see microsoft.public.exchange.admin

This group concerns itself only with Business Contact Manager for Outlook.
