Outlook 2003 won't start

Outlook 2003 on my Vista system starts up and then closes on its own before I
can take any action -- even in safe mode. I cannot even open and read the
properties. Uninstalled and reinstalled and no luck. I'm a neophyte so I
have no idea ata ll where to start....
