Outlook 2003 won't open

When I try to open Outlook 2003, two dialog boxes are displayed.

Box 1 is titled: Configuring Outlook and says "Configuring Outlook
Accounts, Creating Welcome Message."

Box 2 is titled: Microsoft Exchange Server and has entries for the
"Microsoft Exchange Server" and "Mailbox." Next to the "Mailbox" entry is a
check name button.

Apparently something is wrong because when I click "Okay" the following
message is displayed "Unable to open your default email folders. The file
C:\Documents and Settings\Main\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost is not an offline file folder file."

When I click "okay," Outlook simply closes.

Does anybody know how to remedy this situation so I can use Outlook 2003.
Thank you for your help.

Do you connect to an exchange server? if not, go to control panel, mail and
delete the exchange service from your profile then create the proper type of
mail account. if you do use exchange, create a new profile using your
exchange information.
