Outlook 2003 with BCM - No Sync with Pocket PC?

Due to the fact that BCM stores all of it's data in an SQL Server database, what avenues do we have for being able to have those contacts available from a Pocket PC?

Do I really have to keep two copies of each contact (one in BCM and the other in my Outlook PST)

Can anyone provide some suggestions?

I would really like to use BCM but need all that contact information available on my Pocket PC. I don't need all the history, reports and such, just the contact info

That depends on your synchronization tool. The ActiveSync program from Microsoft definitely cannot synchronize multiple contacts or journal folders, which is what BCM uses. Third-party tools may be able to do so. Chapura has updated its PocketMirror Professional utility to work with the Business Contacts folder from BCM.

I have also heard of people using Pocket Contact Synchronizer (http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2002/opcs.aspx), a free tool from Microsoft, to copy contacts automatically from the BCM Business Contacts folder to your main Contacts folder. The main Contacts folder then can be synchronized with any PDA sync tool.

A forthcoming version of Intellisync will support BCM, but the version 5.3 or earlier does not.

Thanks for your response. It was most helpful. Chapura only works with Palm, unfortunately, so I guess I will take a look at the microsoft utility. Thanks again
