Not sure if this is the right group - apologies in advance.
I've sync'd my Smartphone with Outlook.
In the Contacts screen, for a few of the contacts, the number displayed is
not a number but the e-mail, or sometimes a second prioity number instead of
the primary number.
Is there a way to change this??

Many thanks
Steve

The Contacts screen on which device, your desktop PC or the mobile device?
Which version of Outlook? What is your sync software?

Brian:

Thanks - sorry for few words.
The contacts were sync'd to the phone from Outlook.
I'm not able to change the default number - , some are a mobile (and land
line needed) - some are land line (and mobile needed), and some are an
e-mail (and I need a tel #)

Outlook is 2003 (SP-2 with all patches including DST - no BCM)
Windows Mobile is v 5.0 (with DST patch)
Active Sync is v 4.5 (phone came thru with AS 4.1 - problem with that
version also)
OS is XP Pro

Many thanks . . .

Can't change them where? What exactly are you trying and exactly what
happens when you try it?

I'm trying to change the default number
When I try to change the default number, nothing happens - The Set as
Default option that is supposed to be under the Menu soft key does not
appear . . . .

Thanks very much.

Alas, you're venturing into an area with which I have no experience. My
Windows Mobile device is not a phone and as far as I can tell, there is no
"default phone number" setting. Perhaps someone with a Smart Phone can
answer. Perhaps you'd be better off asking in
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.pocketpc where people more
familiar with Windows Mobile devices congregate.
