Hello,
Ok this is not the first time this subject has been written on. But I have tried all the fixes people suggested only to still have the same issue.
This is what I have:
XP Pr
Office 200
NAV 200
Yahoo mail account with different alia
I have Outlook set up for 2 accounts. Both are with Yahoo on the same master accout. IE (e-mail address removed). In that account there is several different email accounts. Such as (e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed).
Origianlly with outlook 2000 I had NO issues retrieving any email. But ever since I have switched to Outlook 2003 when it goes to retrieve/send the User2 mail I get "enter network password". All the information is there. I select the "save password in your password list" but it never keeps. It doesn't happen every time. I would estimate every 10 times or so I get the prompt. But this is crazy! If I fail to click "OK" I get what seems to me as a timed out function. Then Outlook does not reset and get any email. So if I am away important emails might be sitting on the server
The exact error reported by outlook is
Task 'User2 - Recieveing' reported errror (0x8004210a): 'The operations timed out waiting for a response from the recieving (Pop) server. If you continue to recieved this message, contact your server administrator or internet service provider(ISP)
I only get this error if I don't click the "OK" button on the network password prompt. So I would bet it is just timing out. This brings me back to the original problem.
Why will Office 2003 coninually ask for this password if it has it already. Yes the save to list box is not checked buy I have checked it off and it just won't remember.
I have tried fixes
Shut off NAV email scanning inbound and outboun
OL2000: Your password is not retained in windows 2000 or windows xp MKBA-25941
OL: you continuously receive prompts for your nt domain credentials MKBA-32165
OL2000: (CW) Your Password Is Not Retained in Windows 2000 MKBA-27546
Someone please help!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance
Jim
