Is there a way to send and receive faxes with Contact
Manager and have them posted to the business contact? I
wish to continue sending faxes by dial-up. I have a ten
year old fax number so I don't wish to change it. I'll
willing to listen to all tips. Thanks in advance.

James

Thanks Russ,

Is Fax Console the same as XP Fax?

Why would your fax number have anything to do with it? Fax software does not
assign you a fax number. The phone company does.
Outlook 2003 will integrate with Windows 2000 Personal Fax and Windows XP
Fax.

XP Fax has its own inbox. I need something that will use
my regular Outlook Inbox and Sent boxes. My goal is to
have faxes and email attached to the Contact Manager
contacts in Outlook 2003.

If you had, you will see that routing to the Outlook Inbox is no longer
supported by XP Fax.

Hi Milly,

Thanks to you and Russ for getting me on track. I took
his suggestions. The Fax Console will now post to the
Outlook Sent folder but it does not post to the Outlook
Inbox folder. I'm now half way there. Any tips on getting
it to post to the "Inbox"?

James

As I said, you can't. Routing to the Outlook Inbox is no longer supported in
Windows XP Fax. There are utilities you can buy that will import them from
the Fax Console to the Outlook Inbox if you like.

Hi Russ,

Thanks again. I found it this morning after reading the
site with a clearer head.
