I have a desktop with Windows 2000 and Outlook 2003 with all the latest
updates, and service packs.

I am thinking about the purchase of a Pocket PC, but the HP ones I am
looking at only have Outlook 2002.

I have a business calendar and a personal calendar in my Outlook 2003. I
would like to be able to synch the two calendars I have (and keep them
separate of course) between my desktop with Outlook 2003 and my Pocket PC
which would have Outlook 2002.

Will this work?

Thanks,

the version shipped with the ppc is only for people who don't already have
outlook installed - just install activesync (preferably download the most
recent copy from the web) and set it up.

Thanks for your respose.

Do I download and install this activesync on my desktop or PPC or both?

Thanks,

John

Unfortunately it's a one calendar to calendar sync. Same goes for the Inbox
and you can't do sub-folders except to mirror the same settings of the
Inbox. By that I mean I have sub-folders for certain clients or documents (I
know using Outlook for file storage, bad boy) but if I set the inbox to only
sync the last two weeks email then those emails from my clients in the
clients folder from last year do not sync.

I think there are some 3rd party apps that try to solve these issues but
I've not been able to get around it yet.

I have seen some folks work up a public calendar on their exchange server
and then sync the two local calendars to the public calendar and then sync
the public calendar, seems like a long way to go to get something done to
me.

Not sure why the PPC cannot handle folders in Outlook better, it is surely a
short coming.
