Dear all,
I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2003, initially
without any problem and I was sending and receiving mail
as normal. I am using Win2K SP4.
At the beginning of December 2003 I installed a user
account using an IMAP server rather than a POP server.
This caused problems and I have since deleted the account.
In addition to these minor problems, a major problem has
emerged - the send/receive functionality of the programme
has completely disapeared. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the programme (without deleting the
outlook.pst, archive.pst and extend.dat files in the
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft folder). This has not
worked.
Do I need to do a complete clean reinstall with new User
files to overcome this problem? Is there anyway of
restoring full functionality without having to use blank
user files? In my Macintosh days, a problem like this
could be solved by simply deleting the Application
preferences and restarting the program. Is there a similar
fix for Windows applications?
Thanks in advance for any advice or solutions.
Regards,
David.
