I use the pop3 funtion to receive email by outlook 2003
beta 4920. But recently, I found my outlook always
display that it's sending mail when I click the
receive/send button, although I have not any mail in send
box.
Who knows why? thanks
This behavior is designed into the software, not a bug. I doubt that it
"suddenly" started happening. It's been always happening, but you just
happened to click on the "Send/Receive" button when there was no email to
send one time. You can turn off the Send/Receive Notification window if you
desire:
1) Click on the little arrow just to the right of the "Send/Receive" button.
2) a drop-down menu will be displayed. Click on the double-chevron at the
bottom to enable a full menu display if the full menu is not displayed.
3) Select "Send/Receive settings".
4) Select "Show Progress".
4) Check the box which says "Don't display this dialog box during
Send/Receive".
5) Click on "Cancel All" or close the window with the "close-window" control
(the "x") at the top-right of the window.
