I am a Windows 2K user with the latest and greatest
service packs installed and am using an Exchange 2000 mail
server. The problem I am having is trying to identify the
program trying to access my personal address book when I
open a new e-mail. It prompts me to allow or deny access
and tells me some viruses try to access the address book.
I have installed Norton AV 2003 and did a complete scan
and found no viruses. When I first installed Office 2003 I
told the configuration to setup the Outlook Business
Manager but once I saw the message about a program trying
to access my personal address book I stopped it. I have
since allowed the program to access the address book but
still do not know what it is doing. When I press the radio
button to indicate no it immediately goes away. When I
press the yes allow radio button it continues to ask me
three times or at least I have to press the radio button
three times indicating allow access, before it will go
away. I have searched to no avail to find out how to know
what program is trying to access my address book and help
does me no good. It just tells me what I have just
explained here. I can not find additional help on the
Microsoft Office 2003 Beta site that provides definitive
answers to this qauestions. It is rather disingenuous to
have this feature but provide no additional help to
determine what is going on. Any takers?
