Hello,

Is Outlook connecting to Exchange server via MAPI connection or POP3/SMTP
mail account connection?

If Outlook is connecting to Exchange server, you can make an Outlook
profile to "Always prompt for user name and password". That setting is
under properties of Outlook profile | Exchange server | More Settings |
Security tab.

If Outlook is connecting to POP3/SMTP mail account, you can give the
passwrod to the PST file and it will ask for the password when Outlook
starts. To set password on PST file that has already been used:
- open Outlook 2003
- right click on Personal Folder that is default for mail delivery of your
POP3 account and select properties
- click on Advanced button
- click on Change Password
- leave the old password blank and give the new password to the PST file
- close Outlook 2003
- when you restart Outlook 2003, it should ask for the password to access
the PST file.

Since PST file the mail store location for POP3/SMTP mail account, password
will have to be given at the start up to access the file. As far as, you
do not set to remember the password, Outlook will ask for password every
time when accessing that PST file.
